Discover hidden blocks that are holding you back or causing you to over-react to situations. Receive support to overcome them and build resilience for your future.

Where are you?

As you journey through life, everything is going smoothly, everything is going well in your relationships, career and interests.
Suddenly
Then out of the blue something suddenly happens like you:

• have a quarrel with a work colleague.
• have current job changes, you need to upskill or find something else.
• are moved and required to work with people that get under your skin.
• have a change of boss and are struggling to settle in with the new one.
• are retrenched.
Slowly
Or you may find that slowly over time you have:

• A build-up of stress as you are expected to take on more.
• Growing anxiety about something you are working on.
• Overwhelming boredom and just don’t feel motivated to do something about it.
• Stress as you realise you have to learn something new and are daunted by the task.
• Increasing nervousness as you prepare for a presentation or exams.
• Worry about being able to remember new information, people’s names etc..

Techniques used

As a Personal Change Mentor, I use a variety of skills:

  • Life Coaching: this helps with the whole process of setting goals, working through issues and developing next steps.
  • Kinesiology:
    • To bypass your blocked logical mind and to access the mental and emotional hidden patterns, core beliefs etc, that are no longer helping you.
    • To help reduce / remove mental and emotional stress in different parts of you body and brain.
    • To identify tools that you can use in a self-help capacity.
  • Neuor-Linguistic Programming (NLP):  to help with shifting blocked ideas / emotions and replacing them with information / ideas that are more aligned to your goals.

Why?

Why would you consider going down this journey of interacting with About Healing?

Loving life

If you:

  • Feel like everything is going well in your life, or
  • Are happy, calm and content in all aspects of your life, or
  • Like the way you currently deal with issues,
then, I am delighted for you and this is probably not for you.
Room for improvement

If on the other hand:

  • You are not ok, or
  • All the things you have tried haven’t worked for you, or
  • You feel like you are in a tug of war session with yourself, or
  • You feel stuck in the same old patterns, or
  • At times, you feel emotionally overwhelmed:
e.g. worried, nervous, frustrated, depressed, angry,
then, you may want to consider trying something different.

What are the pros and cons?

Cons:

  • This isn’t a magic bullet, you will have to take ownership of the journey.
  • Some of your current opinions / beliefs may be preventing you from progressing and will need to be re-evaluated.
  • I help facilitate / enable your changing / healing journey, but you are the one that will be making the changes and doing the work.

Pros:

  • You start to understand some of your past beliefs and patterns, (probably formed as a child, without the capacity to fully understand the environment around you) control your life.
  • Instead of being blindly stuck in old patterns, you will have the ability to choose to stay the same, or make changes.
  • Most clients feel calmer, more relaxed and like they have more control of their life

What?

I am offering online sessions to help you identify what is holding you back or causing you to over-react. Help you understand the often sub-conscious blocker, reduce some of the stress linked to it, and find a self-help way forward.

How?

How is the online Personal Change Mentoring session run?

Before Session

Once you have used the online booking form to schedule an appointment, you will receive a link to the zoom meeting and some simple instructions.

Bring your shopping list

Take time to think about the list of things you would like to work on:
• Is there something bothering you?
• Do you want to work towards something and need a little help?
• Have you had a recent situation that you are struggling to come to terms with?

We will use this list as a starting point to establish the priority for the session.

Make time for yourself

You are often multi-tasking during your day to get everything done. This is one time, when you need to put everything else aside and focus on you. So make sure you find a location where you won’t be disrupted. Let people know you are unavailable, just as you would be if you went to see the doctor or specialist. The less agitated and distracted you are, the more benefit you will derive from the session.

Hydrate

Everything works better with some water. Make sure you are hydrated before the session and have a glass with you, that you can sip on if you need.

During The Session

The recommended session length is an hour.

Explanation:

Some of the techniques that I use are not well known in the broader community, so the first part of the introductory session explains the process and the techniques that will be used during the session.

Goal Setting:

We discuss what you want to focus on, sometimes bringing a shopping list of topics is a good idea to help us establish the priority topic. Sometimes the goal is a combination of a few issues. This discussion leads to establishing the session goal that we will work on.

Barrier Identification:

Techniques are used to identify relevant information related to your goal, such as opinions and beliefs that are blocking you from moving towards your goal. Some of the information you may already be aware of, but hadn’t realised the impact it was having, or it may be new information that you were not aware of. During this process of identifying stresses and blockers we use some Kinesiology techniques.

Stress Reduction:

As stressors and issues are identified we may use Kinesiology techniques to reduce the build-up of stress as we move through the session or deal with them near the end.
These techniques use acupressure points that link to areas of stored stress and help to diffuse the stress.

Self-Help Strategies:

At the end of the session, we Identify personalized strategies for you to work on, until the next session. These are actions that you can take to continue working towards your goal. This can take the form of an affirmation to replace a concept that is not working for you, with one that helps you move towards your goal.

After the session

You will be sent an email summary of your goals and self-help activities for continued progress.

Some issues change quickly and you feel / see some immediate wins.
Other issues take more determination and commitment before the changes are obvious.
In some cases, others notice the changes before you do.
