We all experience stress on a daily basis. Stress can be caused by physical, emotional or chemical sources. Believe it or not, some stress is good for us. It helps us extend ourselves and develop new abilities. The problem is when we experience more stress than we can handle. This excess stress gets stored in the body, to be dealt with later. If we don’t get around to clearing the stress, it builds up and begins to impact us in a variety of ways; we all experience and store stress in our own unique way. Stress impacts on us mentally, emotionally and physically.
Dr James L Wilson; an expert on adrenal fatigue, explains that we use the hormone cortisol as our defense mechanism against stress. He says that cortisol is called the stress hormone.
It “regulates or modulates many of the changes that occur in the body in response to stress including, but not limited to:
– Blood sugar (glucose) levels
– Fat, protein and carbohydrate metabolism to maintain blood glucose
– Immune responses
– Anti-inflammatory actions
– Blood pressure
– Heart and blood vessel tone and contraction
– Central nervous system activation”

How Kinesiology, Learning Enhancement Acupressure Program (LEAP) and
Body Stress Release (BSR) approach stress management.
Kinesiology
- Mainly uses your arm as a muscle monitor to ask your body :
- Where the areas of stress are
- What some of the causes are
- What are the best energetic techniques to help your body restore balance.
- Uses and stimulates acupressure points to remove energetic blocks and restore balance.
- Uses other energetic techniques like sound and flower essences to introduce change at a sub-conscious level.
- Makes you aware of your related behaviours, emotions and thoughts that are not supporting your health.
- Only need to remove shoes, as your feet have acupressure points that we need to touch.
- Sessions are typically an hour long.
Brain Integration – LEAP
- This is a specialised Kinesiology program that focuses on the functioning of the brain.
- Kinesiology techniques are used along with researched formats to stimulate energetic changes in:
- The way specialised brain areas function,
- The pathways connecting the specialised areas,
- The supporting glial cells function,
- The timing or synchronisation of these independent functions.
- Working with the brain typically requires many sessions, usually anywhere between 12 and 30, based on your unique situation.
- The initial assessment is 2 hrs.
- Sessions are 1 hr to 1 hr 15 min.
Body Stress Release
- Uses a movement of the feet to monitor where there are lines of stress in your muscles.
- Uses a light finger pulse to stimulate the researched, precise areas involved in the stress patterns.
- This stimulates the body to initiate its own healing process.
- Focuses on the spine as a lot of pain is referred from the spinal area if the stress has been bottled up for a long time.
- Often pain or numbness in the hands and feet are a result of stress in the lower back.
- Usually clients start feeling a change straight away, although some clients may take a few days to start noticing the changes.
- Only need to remove any thick belts, as they cover the area on the lower back that we need to stimulate.
- Sessions are typically 20 to 30 min.
