This book (ISBN: 978-0-86486-783-4 ) written by Gail Meggersee, provides an excellent overview of how stress impacts the body and more specifically the nervous system.  When the nervous system (the body’s communication highways between the brain and cells) is impacted, it undermines the bodies ability to function efficiently and heal itself.  She also sites numerous client experiences with Body Stress Release, both why they came and the relief they experienced.
