Is that some sort of dance you are doing? Exploring Pause Locks and Energetic Circuits

Pause Lock

It may look like a dance, but what you’re seeing is actually a highly specific movement based on 19 years of research by Dr. Alan Beardall. Quite by accident, he discovered that moving his legs together and then apart caused a muscle response to remain until the legs were moved again. He had unknowingly activated the hip joint, which stored this information—a breakthrough discovery now known as the “Pause Lock” technique.

What is a Pause Lock?

The hip pause lock is a method used to temporarily store information, allowing practitioners to investigate and address it effectively. It can even be used to stack multiple layers of information for more comprehensive work. Later, Dr. Richard Utt introduced jaw movements as an additional pause lock mechanism. This works in tandem with the hip pause lock. By synchronizing the hip and jaw movements, practitioners create an efficient system for gathering and managing energetic data during a session.

What Happens After a Session?

You may wonder: Does the practitioner still have access to my energetic information after the session ends? The answer is no. During the session, an energetic circuit is formed and carefully maintained to process the information. Once the session concludes, this circuit is intentionally broken by moving without activating the pause locks, ensuring no residual information remains.

What the Science Says

Here’s what scientists speculate about this process:

• Ruffini Nerve Endings:

Found in the hip joint, these nerve endings send continuous information to the brain about leg position and muscle tone, helping maintain balance.

• Neurological Streams:

These signals create an electromagnetic pattern that can be measured by electromyography. Activating a pause lock along with a muscle monitor response creates an interference pattern. This pattern “stores” the energetic information, much like how radio waves carry music.

• Jaw Proprioceptors:

The jaw is similarly equipped with thousands of proprioceptors and appears to function in the same manner as the hip joint in this context.

Insights from the Experts

This technique aligns with concepts discussed in the book Energetic Kinesiology: Principles and Practice (ISBN: 978-1-909141-03-2) by Charles T. Krebs PhD and Tania O’Neill McGowan BSc. Their work explores how precise energetic circuits, like those formed during pause locks, enable practitioners to decode and address imbalances in the body.

The Energetic Circuit

Key points about the energetic circuit created during sessions:
• Formed through synchronizing specific muscle responses with pause locks in the hip and jaw.
• Temporarily holds layers of energetic information for evaluation and correction.
• Active only during the session and is deliberately “dropped” at the end to release all stored data.
• Facilitates communication between the body and practitioner, enabling a dynamic exchange of information.

Summary

Pause locks and energetic circuits may seem complex, but they are rooted in decades of research and practice. By combining the body’s natural communication pathways with targeted techniques, practitioners help to restore balance, resolve energetic blockages, and promote overall well-being.
