Flowers? Really? Discovering the Healing Power of Flower Essences

Flowers? Really? Discovering the Healing Power of Flower Essences

Kinesiology
Rescue Remedy

I first came across flower essences in the form of Rescue Remedy more than 25 years ago. When my children were growing-up, I wouldn’t go anywhere without a bottle of Rescue Remedy tucked in my bag. Every time there were tears from falls, knocks etc, I’d pull out the bottle and put a few drops under their tongues. After a short while, everything was forgotten and life moved on. It also helped to calm exam nerves, job interview stress and dealing with emotional calamities.

Bach Flower Essences

Rescue Remedy is just one of the 38 flower essences developed in the 1930s by Dr. Edward Bach, a Harley Street doctor and pioneer in vibrational healing. Dr. Bach believed that by addressing the personality and feelings of his patients, their unhappiness and physical distress could naturally be alleviated. This unblocked their body’s innate healing potential, allowing it to function optimally once again.

Researchers

Many researchers have since expanded on Dr. Bach’s groundbreaking methods, creating diverse flower essences to address a wide variety of emotional and energetic imbalances. In my practice, muscle monitoring is used to determine which flower essences are most suited to a client’s specific needs.

Attiude with Essence

Dr. Richard Utt’s book Attitude with Essence provides an invaluable reference for mapping a range of flower essences to attitudes, feelings and Chinese meridians. This is a very useful body of knowledge.

Insights into Flower Essences from Dr. Richard Gerber:

Dr. Gerber explains the profound effects of flower essences in Vibrational Medicine:

• Frequency-Specific Healing:

Dysfunctional patterns can be shifted by applying subtle vibrational frequencies, making flower essences a potent tool for change.

• Energy Dynamics:

Flower essences, charged with subtle energy, work on different levels, e.g. some at a cellular level, others affecting subtler systems like chakras, nadis, and meridians.

• Amplification by the Body:

When flower essences are taken internally, their subtle energy interacts with the bio-crystalline energy system in our body, amplifying their effects and promoting healing.

Key Principles from Dr. Edward Bach:
1. Healing Through Emotional Balance:

Dr. Bach believed emotional distress blocks the body’s ability to heal. By addressing negative emotions, flower essences unblock natural healing pathways.

2. Simplicity in Healing:

Bach emphasized that healing doesn’t need to be complex. Gentle remedies like flower essences restore harmony without invasive treatments.

3. Personalized Care:

He advocated treating the individual, not the disease, believing emotional well-being was the cornerstone of physical health.

Flower essences are a unique and gentle way to support emotional resilience and energetic balance. From calming everyday stresses to addressing deeper energetic patterns, their effects are far-reaching and transformative.
